The 2022 Syrah is everything that cool-climate syrah should be. The first impression is the aromatic dominance of bacon fat, black & green peppercorns, and a lovely hint of cocoa. Black raspberry and red cherry flavors build with each passing moment and are highlighted with notes of bay and sweet tobacco to create a fresh and vibrant wine alive with everything that is great about syrah. The long, lingering finish, elegant structure and pretty interplay of the savory and fruit flavors makes the 2022 Syrah the perfect accompaniment to seared portabellas, grilled rack of lamb or braised short ribs.
