Tasting Notes

Sourced exclusively from the JAX family vineyard, our flagship Cabernet reflects our unique Calistoga terroir. Aromas of blackberries, cassis and forest floor unfolds into a perfectly ripe palate framed by grainy tannins and layers of savory notes.  This wine showcases great length and balance.

Winemaker Notes

Our grapes are handpicked (by the entire family including grandchildren), sorted and cold-soaked immediately. Following fermentation, this wine is aged for 22 months in 70% new French oak.  This wine offers dark, concentrated depth and character. Given a few minutes or hours after opening a bottle, the aromatics will continue to evolve and improve.
