Nada Giuseppe Casot, Barbaresco DOCG, Italy 2019

Located in Treiso, the Nada Giuseppe property, now farmed by Enrico Nada, has two main cru sites. Casot is a south and southeast-facing plot with layers of blue and gray tufo soils between sand. The Nada family has been making wine here since the 1960s. The Marcarini vineyards enjoy similar exposures and conditions with a greater presence of sand. Farming at this estate is organic since 2017.

Grapes: 100% Nebbiolo

Characteristics: It is the wine that has always represented us in substance and style. Elegant tannins with dark red fruit and persistent finish. The fruit is always present, flanked by spices, flowers and balsamic notes. Its best expression is after 6-8 years of bottling and increases over time to 25-30 years.

Suggestions for consumption: Grilled beef or sausage, roasted vegetables, gorgonzola dolce.
