Moreux Cuvee des Lys Sancerre Rose 2020
VINTAGE : 2020
COUNTRY : France
REGION/APPELLATION : Loire, Sancerre
VARIETALS : 100% Pinot Noir
The village of Chavignol, located at the foot of the Sancerre appellation, is famous for its goat cheese, and there's nothing better to serve alongside a generous hunk than a crisp rosé from the same region. Enter Roger and Christophe Moreaux, vignerons from one of the oldest families in Sancerre, who make racy wines from Chavignol. Their "Les Lys" is made from Pinot Noir, with aromas of apricots, cherries, currants, and wild strawberries, all supported by vibrant acidity. The Loire is not just for white wines!
