Wildly perfumed of charentias melon, stone fruit, bergamot, kaffir lime leaf.

A new blend of two vineyards; Vista Verde vineyard complimented beautifully with Glen Oaks vineyard that has been a staple in our Pinot Gris for years. Vista Verde vineyard boasts 1000ft elevation with gravelly loam and limestone fracture soils located in the cool valleys and canyons of San Benito County. East of the Gabilan Mountains in Monterey in Sonoma County with deep rocky alluvial soils. Pinot Gris thrives in a mini microclimate at the bottom swath of a 30+ year old Cabernet Sauvignon block, planted as a sort of frost protection.

Picked early to preserve acidity and crushed by foot for a 2 day whole cluster cold soak which adds phenolic texture while lending a beautiful rosé Champagne-like color. All wild ferment in a combination of stainless and neutral oak puncheons then aged in neutral barrique. Winery Notes
