Thomas-Labaille Sancerre Chavignol Cuvee Buster 2019
VINTAGE : 2019
COUNTRY : France
REGION/APPELLATION : France, Sancerre, Loire
VARIETALS : Sauvignon Blanc
From vineyards known as the “damned mountains” because of their steepness, this is a full-bodied Sancerre that expresses its notes of flint and smoke, with the stone fruits more in the background. A great wine for those looking for the definition of minerality!
100% Sauvignon Blanc. This cuvée was first bottled in 1997 in homage to Joe Dressner's and Denyse Louis' dog Buster and is bottled annually (unlike other Buster cuvées, which are otherwise only a one-time, one-shot special bottling from a given Dressner producer). Cuvée Buster is the best of the best, a selection from Labaille's Monts Damnés of the vintage, aged for 8-9 months in two 600-liter foudres and bottled unfiltered.
