Meo-Camuzet Bourgogne Cote d'Or Cuvee Etienne Camuzet, Burgundy, France 2021

The wines that come from the vineyards bearing the Bourgogne appellation and situated in the prestigious villages of the Côte de Nuits share the characteristics of freshness, structure and even strength. We don't necessarily advise you to drink this wine when it's very young. It will often benefit from being aged for a few years in the bottle; two or even more, particularly in cold years.

This wine is matured mainly in casks having already contained one or several wines and the bottling takes place a little earlier, but apart from that, it follows the same course as the other wines of the estate. These grapes are vinified delicately, without any excessive extraction, following the same principles as those applied to the other vineyards of the estate.

In Vosne-Romanée, the vines of the lieu-dit "la Croix Blanche" are of a venerable age and yields are very low; in Flagey, "les Autrots" is still young, more productive but already possessing good balance. Together they produce a wine that's quite concentrated for this level of appellation. As well as our own plots in Vosne-Romanée and Flagey, totalling roughly one hectare (2.5 acres), this cuvée contains grapes or wines bought from winegrowers on the Côte de Nuits: Marsannay, Fixin, Morey, Vosne-Romanée or Nuits-St-Georges.
