Lukas Hammelmann is part of the new guard redefining German Pinot Noir (Spätburgunder), and his “Dhochsatt” 2022 is his most refined expression. Grown on limestone-rich soils in the Pfalz, it’s made with minimal intervention—native fermentation, gentle extraction, and aging in used oak—to let the vineyard speak.

The wine is light in color but deep in detail, with notes of wild strawberry, tart cherry, rose petal, and subtle earth, backed by bright acidity and fine-grained tannins. There’s no makeup here—just precision, energy, and a transparent expression of place.
