Chateau Bela (Egon Müller) Trockenbeerenauslese, Slovakia 2017 500ml

Château Belá is an ancient property situated in Slovakia on the banks of the Danube River. The first vines were planted by the Romans and today Riesling grapes are grown on the hills below the castle and vinified by Miroslav Petrech and Egon Müller.

In 2001, owner Countess Ilona Von Krockow joined forces with renowned German winemaker and cherished family friend, Egon Muller. Together, they embarked on an ambitious mission-to put Slovakian Riesling on the global wine map. They renovated the cellar, and to ensure the highest level of excellence, they called on the expertise of admired winemaker Miroslav Petrech.

With the combined passion of Countess Ilona, Egon Muller, and Miroslav Petrech, Chateau Bela has become a beacon of winemaking brilliance, producing some of Slovakia's most extraordinary Rieslings.

Beautiful cibeb riesling. The wine was made from berries that were infested with the noble mold Botrytis cinerea, where the must had a 36 ° sugar content. The aromas include raisins and botrytis, walnuts, honey, and dried fruits. It is characterized by a high content of residual sugar and acids. Served with desserts, hot chocolate, and moldy blue cheese. Serve chilled. Pleasantly sweet taste with a rich structure.

100% Riesling made in the traditional TBA style with hand selected shriveled berries.
