Born from a friendship between 6th generation Napa resident and farmer Matt Hardin and superstar winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown. I am always in search of a great middle range priced California Cab (it’s easy to find good ones at $200 – not so much at $50) and this hits all levels. This 100 barrel blend (barrels of wines that could have made $150+ blends but were simply too voluminous for their initial intention’s perceived demand) comes from all over the valley encompassing 12 separate sub AVAs from Calistoga down to Stag’s Leap and across the hills from Diamond Mountain to Mt. Veeder.
The balance and length this shows easily surpasses some of its contemporaries at higher price points . Drink it now or lay it down for 5-10 years
