Arterberry Maresh Old Vines Pinot Noir 2017
VINTAGE : 2017
COUNTRY : USA
REGION/APPELLATION : Oregon, Dundee Hills, Willamette Valley
VARIETALS : Pinot Noir
VINEYARD : Maresh Vineyard
One of the first and most historic vineyards in the Dundee Hills. First planted in 1970 by Jim and Loie Maresh and certainly one of the most sought-after fruit sources in the region, these wines consistently receive the highest praise from critics and Pinot enthusiasts alike. I have been a staunch supporter for years and am happy to see they still remain true to their original model. Jim is over 80 and still tends to his vineyards on a daily basis.
While this is not a vineyard designate, Jim blends old vine Pinot Noir fruit from Maresh (1970) and Weber (1974) vineyards. The wine shows the character and complexity of Pinot Noir made from 40+ year old vines.
